Crispy Buffalo Sandwich

Daniel is obsessed with anything that has buffalo sauce on it. I figured why not give this sandwich making a try.. and try I did! I cannot tell you enough how amazing this taste! How crispy!! It was PERFECT!! Perfect for any game day (football is coming soon GO BUCKS!!) or just because you are in the mood for a nice crispy sandwich without all the additives from fast food joints.

You Will Need:

Organic Chicken Breast, cut in half
1 Cup Organic Buttermilk, homemade
3 tbsp Organic Chicken Spice
Buns
Organic Green Leaf Lettuce
Organic Tomatoes
Organic Ranch
Organic Coconut Oil, frying
Frank's Buffalo Sauce
2 Cups Organic Flour
Salt

Add your chicken seasoning to your chicken (after you cut the chicken breast in half so it is thin)

Add buttermilk (I used homemade from the butter I recently made) Set in fridge for 6 hours or overnight

This is the oil I fry anything in and pan

Take a bowl with your flour in it, dip the chicken and cover in flour (firstly heat your oil)

Add chicken and cook 5 minutes per side or until golden brown

Turn and cook another 5 minutes or until golden brown

Place ranch on bottom bun

Add lettuce, tomato (I salt my tomato)

Place chicken on top (Daniel added cheese)

And pour the yummy, amazing buffalo sauce on top... place top bun and cut.. enjoy!

Decal Review

When I received these in the mail, I was blown away! The color looks absolutely amazing; it was very easy to stick these as the instructions were on the card (pictured below) on how to apply the the decals. I decided to stick these on my Macbook Pro, and boy don't they look amazing?! I love, love, love how the I'm a hooker looks in the left corner, and my last name in the middle. Truly cannot say enough good things about these. Jordan, the shop owner, was a pleasure to speak with and customize these with. She asked me with colors and made them perfectly how I envisioned.

You can get these decals (customized name) or any custom decals from her Etsy shop. She responds fast to messages. Now I did have a wee bit of a shipping issue, but that was NOT Jordan's fault. Lately, my mailbox would not close (in our apartment) and some of our mail was being taken. So scared I would not get these, but luckily I got ahold of the mail carrier and he fixed it right up. It did, however take a week to get these because of the mail issues we have been having.

You can get your customized decals here!

I just love, love, love how this looks!! I cannot wait to order more from her!!

Colorful Crochet Hooks Review

WOW! Can you say beautiful!! Look at those amazing colors, honestly! The colors are so bright and pop in just the right way. My daughter, when she saw these, say's "mom, teach me to crochet now, because I have to have hooks like those! In fact, I will take these hooks for myself!" Funny right? No! She is not kidding; the girl is dead serious! I have never been a fan of the Boye style crochet hooks; love the Susan Bates; but these are the Boye style and so much easier to work with! The reason I hate the Boye (well dislike) is because the darn yarn gets stuck and does not work correctly for me. But these, I was shocked! Honestly SHOCKED! They work as smoothly as the Susan Bates hooks expect they are Boye style and super colorful!

You can get your set here!

Goulash

One of my favorite childhood memories was sitting on the counter in the kitchen talking to my mother while I watched her make one of my favorite dishes ever. The conversation would flow, we would laugh, fall off the counter, and make a bloody mess; but guess what? That is what memories are made of! Laughing, messes, falling of counters, and just plain old spending time together. I encourage you to try this dish and fall in love. Now, the funny thing is, when I make this dish, guess where my daughter is? On the counter, talking with me, laughing, making a big old mess! Take this tradition and run with it, make it fun with your children or just one child!

You Will Need:

16 oz NON-GMO Macaroni Noodles
Organic Tomato Sauce
Organic Tomatoes, Diced
1/2 Organic Onion
1 lb Organic Ground Meat
Organic Parsley
Organic Onion Powder
1 tbsp Organic Garlic, minced
Organic Garlic Salt
Salt & Pepper, to taste

Dice your onion

Boil a big pot of water, lid on, salt the water and add organic olive oil to help prevent sticking
Boil the noodles until done

Add two to four tablespoons of oil to a stock pot

Sautee your onions, and garlic; add salt and pepper

Add your ground meet in, I used turkey (and spices)

Once the meat is done, add your tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, an noodles. Taste for seasoning; adjust as needed

The best ever I SWEAR!!

Crochet Popsicle Cozy!

It is summer time! Getting hot, hot, hot here in Ohio finally! It feels like we have gone almost all summer without actually feeling like it is summer time. But it is starting to be 90's and I love it! So I have decided to start off with a new section to the blog! I am hoping this is something everyone wants to see, and I really hope you guys enjoy this section. Off subject, I made slippers for my daughter and have been asked like crazy to share my pattern, but with moving I just have not had the time, so I decided this would make my life so much easier! This pattern is very simple, and can make up a bunch at a time. I figured these would be perfect for pool parties, or even in a birthday party 'goodie' bag.

Materials:

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Hook: 5.00 mm

Terms:

CH- Chain
HDC- Half Double Crochet
SL ST- Slip Stitch
STS- Stitches

Make Magic Ring; CH 4, SL ST into first CH (Wah Bam!)

Row 1: CH 1, 11 SC in ring, SL ST into CH 1 (11 STS)

Row 2: CH 1, 1 SC in CH 1 stitch, 1 SC in next 5 stitches, 2 SC in next, then SC in last 5 stitches (13 STS)

Row 3-15: SC in each stitch around, do not join, use stitch marker to keep track on first stitch (13 STS); weave yarn tail

Row 16: CH 1, HDC around join to the top (not the CH 1) (13 STS)

End: Cut yarn, yarn over and pull yarn through hook all the way; weave ends; turn inside out (this is the correct way)

You are free to sell whatever you make from this pattern (or give away, please share pictures with us), but you may not share, copy or reproduce this pattern in part or whole. My pictures are also copyright protected and may not be used for any purpose whatsoever.

Homemade Valveeta Cheese

I love making homemade valveeta cheese. It is simple to make and very cheap to buy, especially if you have the ingredients on hand. I recommend using the gelatin I link down below because it is made from grass fed animals and is a lot better for you than regular unflavored gelatin. But if you cannot afford this, unflavored gelatin will do just fine.

You Will Need:

.28 oz Grass-Fed Gelatin
1-1 1/2 Cup Boiling Water
6 tbsp Bob's Red Milk Powder Milk
16 oz. Organic Milk Cheddar Cheese

Shred your chesse

Take a bread dish and line with plastic cling wrap; make sure its over the sides

I can eat this cheese plain, I love mild cheddar cheese (from whole foods market)

Measure out your gelatin

Add your powder milk, gelatin in your blender, then add your boiling water (I put my water in the microwave until I saw it boiling- took about 3 minutes)

Add cheese and blend until smooth

Pour into your dish, and cover with plastic wrap (BPA-Free wrap! Of course!) Place in fridge for 8 hours or overnight

BAM you made it! Without all the nasty ingredients and still melts like regular stuff!

Bamboo Crochet Hooks

I recently was contacted by Crafts for Everyone Publishing regarding a review on their crochet products. We have decided to partner up and do feature reviews as they get new items in! YAY!!! *Happy Dance* The person I spoke to informed me the hooks would take 3 weeks to receive; to my surprise I got them in 2 weeks; boy was I happy! I ripped open the package and was very shocked by the hooks themselves. The hooks were beautiful! They felt very strong, not like cheap crap that would break after one use. The hooks are marked with US sizes (which are very clear to read) and are like the Susan Bates ones. For experimental reasons I decided to take a hook and bend it, to my surprise it DID NOT break! That works! With having children it is important that our hooks do not break so easily since kids get their hands on them and mess around. Accidents happen...

Making a cup cozy!! I love these!

I would recommend these crochet hooks to anyone and gift them as well! They are amazing hooks and are priced to be affordable for anyone.
