Crockpot Pulled Pork Sandwich!

This is the most moist, tender pulled pork I have ever had! Now, we do not often eat pork because it is hard to find a good brand that is not poorly raised and that is organic. However, I saw this Simple Truth brand and I just knew it would be okay, I trusted it fully. I suggest, if you do not have a Kroger or a store that is a cousin to Kroger then Whole Foods Market or a health food store will have the best. The BBQ sauce can also be found at Whole Foods Market or Kroger. The BBQ sauce is the ONLY brand I trust; it is made with pure ingredients that are organic and has agave instead of sugar (much better for you- I buy their ketchup... yum yum). Anyhow.. back to this.. I did not want to 'over' season this pork, just let it do its' thing in its' own juices and a bit of homemade ranch seasoning.

You Will Need:

5 lbs. Natural Pork Tenderloin
4 tsp Homemade Ranch Packets
2 Bottles Organic BBQ Sauce
Organic Buns

Place pork in crockpot

Add your ranch seasoning, and cover half way with water; cook on low for 6-8 hours or high 4-6 hours (turn half way if you're home in time to do so, otherwise I would cover the pork with the water)

Pull out of crockpot after the allowed time, and remove any fat that you can

Shred the pork finely. I ended up needing two whole bottles of sauce, because there was a LOT of meat (woo hoo leftovers!) add sauce and mix

Only sauce I trust!

These buns are homemade (no I do not have recipe on them yet...)

We had Organic Chips (cooked in Avocado Oil),  Organic Mixed Veggies, and home canned pickles for our sides, but you can do whatever you want! Coleslaw would be lovely and/or homemade potato wedges

Valentine's Candle

Valentine's Day is literally an amazing day for me for a couple reasons; 1- my husband, Daniel and I got married that day where we pledged our love to each other and 2- well come on let's face it I get double gifts from him!! Super easy for Daniel to remember too which I guess is a bonus for him. This is our third wedding anniversary and I wanted to do something a little more special, something we could remember for a long time. The longer you let these sit and 'cure' the deeper the scent will be. I decided to use one of my favorite scents...Strawberry!! But you can definitely use whatever scent you want for your loved one! Another one of my favorite scents is 'Love Spell' but I was out of that scent and could not get it in time for this video =[ which is fine because strawberry is good enough for me.

Materials:

1/2 Pint Mason Jars or (Pint Mason Jars)
Heart Sprinkles
Wax
Wicks
Strawberry Scent
Wick Holder
Sticker Paper
Printer
Corn Syrup
Templete

Crockpot Broccoli Cheese Soup

I love, love, love broccoli cheese soup, always have, even as a child. It is the one soup I can remember I loved when I would go out to dinner at Chili's with my parents. But one day, while we were at Chili's, I had a big piece of plastic in the bowl of soup and it totally grossed me out. There is seriously nothing like a big bowl of homemade soup, regardless what type of soup you crave or want to make. And this soup is literally something to stand by and remember!

You Will Need:

1/2 Medium Organic Onion, chopped
1/4 Cup Organic Butter, melted
1/4 Cup Organic All-Purpose Flour
2 Cups Organic Half-n-Half
2 Cups Organic Chicken Broth
2 Bags Organic Frozen Broccoli, thawed
2 Cups Organic Carrots, shredded
1/4 tsp Organic Nutmeg
4 Oz. Organic Sharp Cheddar Cheese
4 Oz. Organic Mild Cheddar Cheese
Salt & Pepper, to taste

Dehydrate Bananas

Bananas are an amazing snack for children and adults. Dehydrating bananas, like other dehydrated fruits, are so simple to make and so yummy. My favorite is strawberries, but then again anything strawberry is my favorite (from fruit to candle scents- I love it).

You Will Need:

Organic Ripened Bananas
Dehydrator

Cut bananas all the same size, you can use a mandolin or just knife like I did

Arrange on trays

Dehydrate for 8-12 hours

Almost done

Almost done here, if you can still bend the banana it is not done, that means there is still moisture in the banana which if you do not get all the moisture out you will end up with moldy banana chips in a couple days- keep going, you're almost there!

Homemade Whipped Cream!

I love making my own whipped cream whenever I need it. Tonight I made whipped cream to top on my homemade angel food cake. This whipped cream makes up super easily and stays fresh for 2 days in the fridge, as long as it is covered really well. The whipped cream is amazing on some fresh cake instead of buttercream. I love dipping some fruit right into the whipped cream with nothing else.. yum yum yum!!

You Will Need:

2 Cups Organic Whipping Cream
6 tbsp Organic Sugar
2 tsp Organic Vanilla Extract

Place all your ingredients into a big bowl or kitchenaid stand mixer

Mix until fluffy

Almost done here

And done! So fluffy and yummy!

Crockpot Refried Beans

Crockpot style! Super simple, super easy, super yummy, and oh yeah did I mention how amazing they make the house smell while cooking!?! No! Well they do! OMGG! I am going to use half of these beans to make my pinto beans and the other half I am reserving to make ranch style beans (which are literally my favorite). I love beans, Daniel makes fun of me, but I cannot handle myself! I just love beans! They are good in fiber, iron, and just taste super yummy when you add the correct seasoning. I will have a recipe for my ranch beans coming soon (since I am taking half of these for that I will be making them asap).

You Will Need:

32 oz. bag Organic Dried Pinto Beans
2 tbsp Organic Beef Base
1 Organic Onion, cut in half
5 Cups Water
2 tsp Organic Garlic
1 tbsp Organic Chili Powder
1 tbsp Organic Cumin

Place all the ingredients in the crockpot and allow to cook for 8 hours

This is about 4 hours in, once they are done you can use an blender to blend them until smooth (with the onions and what not in them)

I removed the beans, placed in a saucepan and mashed them with a potato masher because I enjoy chunks in my refried beans

Daniel is not a 'BIG' fan of beans, but he eats them on the side

These make amazing gifts; Christmas, Birthdays, Valentines, Anniversaries or just because.

-Primer
-Chalk Paint
-Paint Brush
-Sander

Ranch Chicken!

Chicken is a highly requested food in our house. The kids love chicken, which is good because we try to stay away from red meat (a least not all the time, maybe once a week- we much rather ground turkey or chicken). Kailee is obsessed with ranch, chicken and anything crispy! I figured this would be a great recipe to share finally. This is super simple, you can make it up fast, double the recipe or triple it if you wish. I like making my potato wedges or my au gratin potatoes. I also love pairing this chicken with some hearts of romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and a bit of organic ranch. Onward with the recipe...

You Will Need:

2-3 Organic Grass-Fed Chicken Breast
1 Cup Crispy Onions
1/4 Cup Organic Butter, melted
3 tbsp Homemade Ranch Seasoning

Crush onion crisps, place in ziplock with homemade ranch seasoning

Dip chicken in melted butter

Place chicken in the bag with your onion crisps and make sure it is thoroughly coated

Oil your pan before placing chicken in pan

Bake chicken at 350 for 20 minutes, turn chicken over and continue cooking about 20 minutes (or until chicken is done)

I made roasted organic potatoes, organic salad, with homemade organic ranch and organic green beans to go with this absolutely amazing chicken (so moist and so yummy)

Fruit Dip!

Fruit dip is my most favorite thing to make and pack in the kids lunch boxes with fresh blueberries and strawberries... mmmmhmm... delicious! I made a huge batch of this for fruit, okay lets just be completely honest here; I made this and honestly all I ate it with is a spoon lol- really could not help myself. This dip is amazing over top of a nice bowl of delicious, organic, non-gmo fruit.

You Will Need:

1 pk Organic Cream Cheese, room temp
7 oz Homemade Marshmallow Fluff
2 tbsp Organic Orange Juice
1-2 Cups Organic Powdered Sugar (not pictured)

Cream the cream cheese and marshmallow fluff together until smooth

Add the fresh squeezed orange juice, and powdered sugar (be sure to sift the sugar, I hate clumps)

I mean come on, does that fruit dish not look amazing!

Yum!! ENJOY GUYS!
