DIY Play Dough!

Play dough is super fun activity for children to develop their fine motor skills and come on lets be completely honest here, we all love play dough regardless of our age; I know I do! I always loved the store bought stuff, and I am not going to like the smell is amazing! But I hated the idea that the kids could get sick if they ate any by mistake or even the dogs if the kids dropped any. I have stuck to making homemade dough since Kris was 2 years old and understood not to eat it, but if he did by mistake I could not really freak out about it. I planned to show you more than one play dough recipe and will be sure to have a section laid out just for the different play doughs I have planned here. I know Kris and Kai are extremely excited and happy about all the play dough they will be able to play with. Now, these are amazing for stocking stuffers, just pick up some cheap small air tight containers, follow along with the recipe and your children will be super excited opening their stocking this Christmas!

Recipe One (Store Bought DIY):

Small Air-Tight Container
Food Coloring
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 Cup Water
1/4 Cup Salt
1 tbsp  Oil
2 tsp Cream of Tartar
Wooden Spoon
Saucepan
